Natural Grass Fed Beef
We pride ourselves on the production of high quality natural grass-fed beef. It’s got a lot to do with how we care for our animals.
We do everything we can to ensure that our beef is of the highest standard. Our cattle are raised naturally, entirely on pasture and are cared for individually in a small herd. They have access to fresh pasture each day, they pick their own salad from a diverse range of clovers, grasses, chickory, plantain and other herbs and legumes.
Expert local butchers age our beef so that you will enjoy a flavour and tenderness that is reminiscent of a time when we weren't all in such a hurry.
Why eat natural grass fed beef ?
Cattle are healthy and happy, eating what nature intended
Lower in fat and calories than grain fed beef
High in Omega 3, CLA and Vitamin E
Cattle and pastures are not treated with chemicals or hormones
Cattle are not fed grain or urea
Controlled grazing enhances the health of animals, pastures, soil, waterways and wildlife habitat
Proudly produced in the Hastings Valley
How good is it?
We asked one of our customers, internationally renowned Chef, Charlie Rushton, what he thought:
"Cattle reared with care and attention, the result is beef that tastes like it should. Easily some of the best beef I have ever had—worldwide."
We reckon you should try it yourself. You won’t be disappointed.
Where can I get it?
You can usually find us at the Hastings Farmers Market in Wauchope on the fourth Saturday of the month. Place your order with us there or give us a call or email. We're not far from town if you'd like to come and visit.
Our beef is available in bulk "mixed quarters", that is, you get an even share of the butcher’s cuts, packaged in meals for two.
Shares are generally 25-35kg and our sausages do not contain MSG or gluten. We do not chemically "corn" the beef, unless of course you like it that way.
If you have any special requests, just ask us and we will try to meet your needs. We’re pretty flexible and we want you to be completely satisfied with your food. |
