We farm 40 acres just a couple of kilometres from Beechwood, west of Wauchope in the Hastings Valley on the mid north coast of NSW, Australia. This is Birpai Land. 

 

We share this special place with abundant wildlife.  Conservation and enhancement of native forest and wildlife habitat is a high priority for us and the way we manage the farm.  We aim to live simply so that others may simply live, and to lead by example.

 

We operate a low input farming system, minimise our greenhouse gas emissions and other waste and are continuously improving our soil and management systems.  Farming, as we say here, is a "work in progress".

Cattle grazing is controlled to build up soil carbon, protect waterway health, protect cattle from parasites and ensure that cattle always have the best food available.  After all, our cattle are the experts in their field.

We work hard to produce quality food, rejuvenate our soil and pastures and care for our natural environment.  We also have a lot of fun here in the knowledge that producing quality fresh food for local people is an honorable occupation.
